
Kyle Palmieri will be a NHL All-Star this year after replacing injured New Jersey Devils team-mate Taylor Hall.
Devils forward Palmieri was announced as a member of of the upcoming 2019 All-Star game roster on Saturday.
Hall was placed on injured reserve with a lower-body issue on January 1.
Palmieri is New Jersey's top goal-scorer this season with 22. This will be the ninth-year veteran's first All-Star appearance.

The 27-year-old's 16 assists bring his point total to 38 for 2018-19, while the Devils are 18-23-7 and sit 15 points back of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
NHL All-Star festivities will begin with a fan fest on Thursday and extend through the All-Star game on January. 26.
